Not when it’s Blue Wasabi’s Sushi School!

On one Sunday from 2-4 p.m. each month, our in-house sushi chef will teach you techniques that you can replicate at home to roll sushi just like a pro.

The $79/pp fee includes:

  • *All sushi-making materials
  • *Two sushi rolls
  • *One order of nigiri
  • *Makisu (sushi mat) to take home

Additional food and beverages will also be available for purchase during the class.

This opportunity to learn how to slice and dice like a pro can make for an amazing date, girls’ outing, or simple Sunday Funday with the family.

Parents wishing to bring children to participate in the class should be advised that extremely sharp knives are used. Additionally, if you have your own high-quality blade that you’re comfortable with, please feel free to bring it with you

February is over and it’s time to announce the winners of what was one of the most successful contests that we’ve ever held!

The eight-year anniversary raffle to win Sushi in Your Kitchen with a Blue Wasabi Sushi Chef for Eight had almost 2,000 entries! Apparently ya’ll love the chance to win free sushi!

We were more than humbled by your enthusiasm, and can’t thank each of you enough for making these last eight years in the Valley everything that a restaurant (and its staff!) could hope for, and more!

The Perfect Wine For The Perfect Sushi

How do you thank your top performers? If you are the NFL you invite them to the PRO Bowl, if you are Major League Baseball  you invite them to play in the All Star game, if you are Ferrari Carano Winery you invite them to Blue Wasabi Sushi and Martini Bar.

Ferrari Carano could have chosen any restaurant, any WHERE to reward say thank you to their top sales performers. Like Ferrari Carano, they wanted something special. Ferarri Carano’s western United States sales manager said he loves Sushi, he lives in California, so he is used to good sushi.

The boys at Southern Wine & Spirits said “If you like sushi, you will love Blue Wasabi!”. They came in on a Thursday night where I took care of them. From the food to the drinks, I took the keys to the castle and ran with it. The only thing I didn’t select was the wine. You see, when you are the Western United States sales manager of one of the best wineries in the country you tend to have a little pull.

What kind of pull?

Well in addition to the classics including Fume Blanc, Sonoma County Chardonnay and Siena, they brought some sold out wines from the winery:

It was a great night, the next time you are at Blue Wasabi Sushi & Martini Bar  you too can enjoy the  Ferrari Carano experience by trying the traditional Yellow Tail Sashimi with Farrari Carano Chardonnay or better yet – ask for the secret stash of Ferrari Carano Fume Blanc and pair it with Blue Wasabi’s New Style Stryped Bass Sashimi or Nigiri

New Year, New Menu

Hey sushi lovers! Happy (belated) new year to everyone!

We have a lot of great things in the works for 2012 and one of the first items on our list is a brand new menu to keep you guys satisfied and coming back for more!

However, we aren’t about to just implement a new menu over night. We want to invite you to have a hand in spicing up the Blue Wasabi experience. If you have the time to give, we would be thrilled to get your feedback on what we have planned.

First up is the revamped beverage menu:

In this round, we’re unveiling some new additions to our wine list that we’re really excited about!

For all you winos out there…

We’ve added a few red wines to suit all of our winter palates – including a Justin Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles and an ultra cool Raymond Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley label’s Cask Series that we think you’ll love – especially considering that the Raymond is one of our happy hour menu’s newest additions (note the happy hour smiley face throughout).

Other new additions of note are the Argento Malbec, from Argentina and the latest white wine addition of Nickel & Nickel Chardonnay “Searby Vineyard”, Russian River Valley.

And for all of you white wine afficianados, don’t worry! You can expect to see more white additions to our wine list with the return of the sizzling summer heat.
