Ladies’ Night Special Event

Ladies Night Gilbert Martini

Thank you, Scottsdale!

It’s been a great nine years for Blue Wasabi in Scottsdale, and we thank you all for your support over the years. Ongoing challenges with the center, including limitations on signage and visibility have lead us to the difficult decision to close our Hilton Village doors after six years at our location on Scottsdale Road.

Though we’re saddened to have to say goodbye, the best of both Blue Wasabi teams are excited to focus all of our energies on continuing to provide the unique, high-quality sushi experience that we’ve worked so hard to create in the Valley at our Gilbert location.

We can’t express enough how grateful we are to have gained and kept such a loyal customer base at our Hilton Village location, and hope to see each and every one of you out at Blue Wasabi Gilbert in SanTan Village.

Blue Wasabi Gilbert is located at 2080 E. Williams Field Road in SanTan Village and is open from noon-10PM on Sunday, 4PM-10PM Monday thru Thursday and noon-11PM on Saturday.

Join us Tuesday – Saturday from 4PM-6PM for the same great happy hour with smokin’ deals on your favorite food and drinks. Check out our Gilbert happy hour menu here.

We’re actively looking for a premier location in Scottsdale or Arcadia for the next Blue Wasabi- so keep an eye out for updates!

Thank you, Scottsdale – for your loyalty and support over the years.

Valentine’s Day at Blue Wasabi – Martinis and Cake

Valentine's Day Martinis Cake

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and we know you’re looking for the perfect way to spend the evening.

The “I Heart You” roll  (spicy crab, cream cheese, and mango – wrapped in soy paper, crusted with red tempura bits and drizzled with a sweet soy glaze – yum) will be making its annual appearance on our menus this February 14th. To sweeten the deal, we’ll pick up dessert when you order any two Blue Wasabi specialty martinis – the “Ace of Hearts” cake makes its sweet return!

If you haven’t tried it before, trust us. This is one you don’t want to miss. It’s a chocolate ganache cake to die for, and it just happens to be perfect for two.

Head on out to either Blue Wasabi location this Valentine’s Day for these specials – in Gilbert from 6PM to close, or Scottsdale from 6:30PM to close – for a sweet evening!

Free Wheel Foundation and Blue Wasabi Announce Promotion To Help Wounded War Veterans

Free Wheel FoundationLast week I had the pleasure of sitting down with John Greenway of the Free Wheel Foundation and the Ride 430 Challenge. The Free Wheel Foundation is an organization that raises money and awareness for injured veterans and their families to help them “fill the gaps” that don’t always get filled by the government.

The financial assistance the Free Wheel Foundation provides injured veterans and their families allows them to focus on the road to recovery. The Free Wheel Foundation also helps children who’s parents were killed in combat. The truth is – when a soldier gets deployed oversees to war it is not just that soldier but their families as well. One of the ways the Free Wheel Foundation raises money is through the Ride 430 Challenge.

Ride 430 Challenge

Ride 430 Challenge

Ride 430 Challenge

The Ride is a four-day, 430-mile challenge in which cyclists must complete more than 100 miles each day, including mountain climbs. In addition to training and completing the ride, participants must fundraise, with the average rider raising more than $6,600 for the cause, more per rider than any event of its kind.

Money raised by the Ride 430 Challenge supplements military assistance and bridges gaps to help injured service people and families who lost loved ones recover. Our funding helps provide everything from financial assistance, scholarships and adaptive sports equipment for injured heroes to camps for kids who’ve lost a parent in combat.

You will discover what an amazing organization the Free Wheel Foundation is below.

For the Ride 430 Challenge, Blue Wasabi Sushi will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a custom beach cruiser. 100% of the raffle proceeds will be going to the Free Wheel Foundation. In addition on October 4th in Scottsdale and October 7th in Gilbert we will be raffling off additional items, local merchants in each of the shopping centers Blue Wasabi is located and our vendors have donated to this worthy cause.

Blue Wasabi Sushi will also be donating 20% of the proceeds of our food sales from those nights to the Free Wheel Foundation and the Ride 430 Challenge. Come down to Blue Wasabi Sushi and Martini Bar and support our wounded war veterans.

Thanks

Jim

The World’s Spiciest Sushi Roll – Name It!

World’s Hottest Sushi Roll

The BEST, Most AMAZING, PRETTIEST, seems like everywhere you look someone is using this HUGE Adjective to describe something. Upon closer inspection you typically find out – its really not that special. Notice I said “typically”. Believe me when I tell you, there is noting TYPICAL about “The Worlds Spiciest Sushi Roll” – at Blue Wasabi Sushi & Martini Bar.

The real HOT

I love spicy food, spicy chicken wings, spicy sauce, spicy soup – pasta, ribs – so for me, the natural next step is sushi. Only I didn’t want to create something that was “kind of” hot so we went “all in”. We created what we are calling “The Worlds Spiciest Sushi Roll” and let me tell you IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS – this bad boy is HOT! If you like spicy food, we not only want you to try it, we want you to NAME IT!

Take a look below at HOW the World’s Spiciest Sushi Roll is created.

So, that is the World’s Spiciest Sushi Roll. Come on in to Blue Wasabi Sushi & Martini Bar and try it – that is, if you dare. Once you experience the World’s Spiciest Sushi Roll, help us give it a proper name – it deserves one, don’t ya think? Drop us your name suggestions over on our Facebook page, can’t wait to hear your ideas!

Arizona Vodka? YES! Arroyo Vodka Arizona Martini

Arroyo Vodka Arizona MartiniDo you like Vodka? Vodka is an alcoholic spirit of Russian origin made by distillation of rye, wheat, or potatoes. But that does not mean all Vodka comes from Russia. One of my favorite Vodka’s isn’t imported from Russia, it’s made right here in the good old USA – Glendale, Arizona to be exact. Yes – Glendale, Arizona.

It’s called Arroyo Vodka. Arroyo is the first vodka distillery in the Phoenix area. The distillery, in Glendale, is located in the Historic Sugar Beet Factory.

I’m a big fan of supporting other locally owned businesses and after tasting Arroyo Vodka, I knew we needed to create a signature martini using Arroyo Vodka.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Morgan Klemp of Arroyo Vodka. In the short video below we discuss the origins of Arroyo Vodka and what makes it so special. What better way to celebrate this impeccably smooth and easy to drink Arizona Vodka, than to create a signature Martini. We are calling it the Arroyo Vodka Arizona Martini

If you like vodka martinis you will love the Arroyo Vodka Arizona Martini. Served with local olives from Queen Creek Olive Mill, this Martini is not to be missed. Come on by your favorite Blue Wasabi Sushi & Martini Bar location and ask for the Arroyo Vodka Arizona Martini.
